Work Package 6 builds bridges between European minority language communities and Indigenous and endangered language movements worldwide. It focuses on creating dialogue, solidarity, and knowledge exchange to address shared challenges of linguistic diversity, empowerment, and inclusion.
WP6 examines how migration, multilingualism, and social justice intersect in today’s Europe. It works to foster mutual understanding between European and globally dispersed language communities, such as those of Indigenous peoples and migrants, and to strengthen collaboration on issues of language rights, education, and representation.
Through international forums, training sessions, and community exchanges, WP6 promotes global cooperation on linguistic diversity, supports community activism, and builds the capacity of organisations working to protect and revitalise languages.
The work aims to empower speakers, especially younger generations, to take active roles in language and cultural initiatives, ensuring that linguistic diversity continues to thrive both in Europe and beyond.
WP6 is led by Monica Perenya (Linguapax).
